OpenUp: Term Sheets and Term Types
Term negotiations is the do-or-die moment to see if the entrepreneur’s valuation and use of funds and expectations meet or exceed the investor’s perspective. If Term types and term sheets are not unanimous, then there’s no purpose to get the SPV or purchase agreement going.
This webinar helps first-time fundraising founders understand the basics about the three common term sheets offered by investors and the key terms that will shape the deal. It’s a great program to refresh your vocabulary and hear stories about fundraising.
This webinar will cover
- The difference between a Priced Round, Convertible Note, and a SAFE sheet
- Basic terms and conditions equity-based investments use and leverage
- How to get help from an attorney and other advisors to make sure you’re not giving up too much ownership
