Shelby L. Daiek
Shelby L. Daiek is the Director of the Utah Export Assistance Center, a field office for the U.S. Commercial Service, under the U.S. Department of Commerce. Mrs. Daiek has resided in Utah for just over eight years and counsels and guides Utah Companies through the export process from beginning to end. Such counsel includes how to find and develop international sales, comply with applicable laws and regulations, fulfill documentation requirements, and overcome trade barriers. Prior to moving to Utah, Mrs. Daiek spent seven years in Washington, DC working with the U.S. Census Bureau, the Commercial Service Office of Strategic Planning, and the Commercial Service Trade Promotion Programs Office where she coordinated export services at over 30 trade shows worldwide. Mrs. Daiek holds a B.A, magna cum laude in economics, public administration, and political science from Elon University in North Carolina. Mrs. Daiek also has her Certified Global Business Professional credential as administered by NASBITE International. In her free time, Mrs. Daiek is an avid outdoorswoman and enjoys all that Utah has to offer with her husband, two young boys and their Labrador retriever.
