BoomStartup's Program Analyst is optimistic, action-oriented, and hilarious.
Meet Christina Nield.
BoomStartup’s newest team member brings a ton of experience and excitement to the table. Get ready for some great programs. We wanted our community to get to know Christina, our Utah-based midwesterner.
On her second day at Boom, her first serious assignment was to answer our grilling questions because the interview process never ends! Here’s her response. If you can, connect with Christina on LinkedIn or drop her an email and say HELLO, and welcome to the team.
Tell us about yourself, what do you enjoy doing, where do you live, where did you go to school.
Hi! My name is Christina Nield. My favorite things to do outside of work are woodburning, hiking, and hanging out with my doggos. I’m originally from the Chicago area, but I’m currently residing in Murray. I moved here about 4 months ago from Flagstaff, Arizona, where I also finished my degree at NAU.
What is your entrepreneurial experience?
Entrepreneurialism has been in my life for as long as I can remember. Both of my parents started their own businesses to support my family through my childhood. My dad started his own house remodeling company, while my mom went the online route and started her own educational blog.
In my own personal life, entrepreneurialism has also played a significant role. When I decided to go back to school, I realized that my current job would be extremely difficult to continue while earning my degree. I decided to start my own blog to earn income while I was in school. I created a Pinterest marketing blog, that developed into more than just a blog making money from affiliate marketing. Soon I was taking on clients to help them succeed on Pinterest for their businesses. This business is what made my education possible so that I could reach for bigger dreams.
What part of this opportunity is most exciting for you?
The part of this opportunity that is most exciting to me is working with different entrepreneurs, and using the skills that I’ve been developing over the years to help them succeed. I love the ambition and passion that are commonly associated with startups and entrepreneurs. I’m looking forward to many learning experiences while as an analyst.
I’m looking forward to learning more about finance, startups, and funding, as well as what it takes to make a program like Boom, successful.
What should the BoomStartup community expect from you?
The BoomStartup community should expect organization, open communication, honesty, and drive from me while working at BoomStartup.
If you were to choose an element to describe you, what is it and why?
I would choose Fire as the element that describes me. I’m a very passionate person that goes 100% all-in on everything that I do. I’m also a very direct and honest person, which means sometimes I am the person to tell someone something that they don’t want to hear. Like fire, I am also an unstoppable force.
Now you must share, what is your obscure talent?
My obscure talent is that I’m really good at catching flies inside my house with a vacuum. I usually catch them right out of there air, t’s one of the portable cordless Dyson’s for a better picture.
